Janet Jackson is set to be honored at the upcoming Black Girls Rock awards. Jackson will be receiving the Rock Star award at the event. The event aims to honour the most accomplished black women in the industry and is scheduled to be taped on Sunday, August 26 and will be hosted by Queen Latifah at the New Jersey Performing Arts Centre in Newark. The ceremony will be televised by BET network on September 9. Other honorees include Mary J.
