Jennifer Lopez received the lifetime achievement award at MTV Video Music Awards Monday night. Lopez is the first Latin American singer to receive the honor, titled, the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. She made an impassioned acceptance speech at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Monday. “I grew up on MTV and this is a tremendous honor for me. Dreaming my wildest dreams and then watching them come true – music, acting, performing – this career has always been kind of an obsession for me,” Lopez stated. Returning to the MTV stage two decades after making her VMA debut, the pop diva also delivered an epic 10-minute retrospective of her hit songs.
