Lee Ann Womack Set For L.A. Benefit Concert

Lee Ann Womack will perform at the “Across The Great Divide” benefit concert at Los Angeles’ Ace Theater on October 19. She joins a star-studded line-up that includes John Prine, Bob Weir, Lucinda Williams, Shemekia Copeland, Doyle Bramhall II, Larkin Poe, Tash Neal and Joe Louis Walker. Proceeds of the Los Angeles concert will go to the Americana Music Association and Blues Foundation. Both organizations have long been joining hands to promote and preserve the tradition of American roots music globally. Jimmy Vivino is the musical director for the event, which is produced by UpperWest Music Group. “The intersection of Americana and the Blues is a place of integrity, passion and love of American roots traditions,” Jed Hilly, Executive Director of The Americana Music Association, said in a statement.
