Rock legend Bob Seger has announced that he and the Silver Bullet band are gearing up for what will be their final tour. “I’ve had a great career. It’s been a great run. It’s amazing how much airplay we’ve gotten down through the years. I don’t want to overstay my welcome,” said 77-year-old Seger, who has been considering retirement since early 1986. Whilst travelling the country on the band’s “Runaway Train Tour” last year, Seger was forced to cancel the last few dates of the stint due to an unexpected spinal injury, which required surgery to correct. Now back in action, the band has announced 16 dates to make up for the postponed shows from last year and recently added 10 more. Renamed the “Travelin’ Man” tour, the farewell expedition is scheduled to kick off on November 21 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. 26 dates through May 2019 have been announced thus far and more are yet to come. Tickets for the tour will go on sale on September 28 and pre-sale for fan club members will begin on September 25.
