Carrie Underwood Getting Hollywood Walk Of Fame Star

Country superstar Carrie Underwood will be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on September 20 in Hollywood. Underwood will be honored in the category of Recording in recognition of her 13-year music career, during which she has won numerous awards, including seven Grammys, six CMAs and 14 ACMs. The ceremony, to be held in front of the historic Capitol Records building, will be live-streamed on the Walk of Fame’s official site. Simon Cowell and Brad Paisley will help unveil the star. The 35-year-old Oklahoma native will be the 2,646th celebrity to receive a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star. Underwood shared the news on Instagram Tuesday, the day on which she released the second single from her forthcoming Cry Pretty album, “Love Wins,” paying tribute to 9/11 victims.
