Maroon 5 and Cardi B’s “Girls Like You” has finally reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, after waiting for weeks at the number 2 position. Maroon 5 has toppled Drake’s “In My Feelings,” which led the list for 10 weeks. “Girls Like You” is also the first pop song to top the Hot 100 since January, ending a record 34-week streak of rappers, Billboard reports. “Girls Like You” is Maroon 5’s fourth chart-topping single, following 2007’s “Makes Me Wonder,” 2011’s “Moves Like Jagger” with Christina Aguilera and 2012’s “One More Night.” Meanwhile, it’s Cardi B’s third No. 1 after her debut single “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)” topped the Hot 100 for three weeks in October 2017, and “I Like It” with Bad Bunny and J Balvin hit No. 1 in July. “This is insane. Thanks for making #GirlsLikeYou the #1 record in the country with help from our friend @iamcardi,” Maroon 5 tweeted. Two other tracks have also entered the Hot 100’s top 10– Eminem’s “Killshot” currently sits at No. 3, while 5 Seconds of Summer’s “Youngblood” is at number 10. Copyright(c) 2018 RTTNews.com.
