Ariana Grande is set to perform at the first-ever Barbara Berlanti Heroes Gala organized by non-profit group F**k Cancer in Los Angeles on October 13. Kristin Chenoweth and Jeff Garlin will also be performing. Greg Berlanti and Robbie Rogers will serve as event chairs for the program. Arrow star Stephen Amell will be honored with the Hero Award for his work raising funds and awareness for the organization. The event will mark Grande’s first public appearance after the death of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller last month. Grande was expected to attend the 2018 Emmys with her fiance, Pete Davidson, however, backed out after Miller’s death. A rep for the singer told ET at the time that “given the events of the past couple of years, Ariana is going to take some much needed time to heal and mend. She will be staying close to home and using this period to spend time with her loved ones and work on new music without deadline. She thanks her fans for their understanding.” Grande had paid tribute to Miller by posting his photo on her Instagram account. Several people had blamed Grande for Miller’s death on the social media and she had to disable her Instagram account comments. Malcolm McCormick, popularly known as Mac Miller, died of an apparent drug overdose on September 7 at his Studio City, California, home. Copyright(c) 2018 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
