North Carolina is yet to recover from the devastating effects of Hurricane Florence, which hit the state last month, and James Taylor is doing everything in his power to help. “Legendary singer, dancer, actress, activist and 2018 #MTVEMAGLOBAL ICON! @janetjackson is forever the Queen!!,” the award show announced on Twitter Wednesday. “I’m honored to receive this year’s @MTVEMA Global Icon Award,” Jackson stated on Instagram. “I can’t wait to celebrate with my fans all around the world on Nov. 4th in Spain,” she added. Last week, Jackson was nominated to The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s 2019 class. The induction ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on March 29.
