Minnesota’s NBA team, the Timberwolves, are planning to honor the Pop icon and Minnesotan resident Prince with their “City Edition” uniforms. The new uniforms will feature art inspired by Prince’s 1984 iconic album, Purple Rain. A shot of the jersey was leaked on Twitter earlier this week and appears to contain an edgy, purple font. Later, a Reddit user also leaked the possible design of the Timberwolves’ shorts. Prince passed away in early 2016 in his residence in Minnesota. Meanwhile, earlier this month, the artist’s family requested that his songs be immediately removed from President Trump’s election rallies leading up the midterm elections in November. “The Prince Estate has never given permission to President Trump or The White House to use Prince’s songs and have requested that they cease all use immediately,” tweeted his half-brother Omarr Baker.
