Jennifer Lopez has announced that she will play a new song from her upcoming Movie Second Act at the 2018 American Music Awards next week. The news was broken by Dick Clark productions, ABC, as well as the singer on Thursday. “It’s gonna be an AMAZING night,” Lopez said on Twitter. The October 9 show, hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross, will broadcast live from Los Angeles. Second Act, in which Lopez plays the character Maya, a 40-year-old woman struggling with frustrations from unfulfilled dreams, is set to hit theaters on December 14. Lopez, 49, is fresh from concluding the 3-year-long run of her All I Have residency shows. Her performance at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas has reportedly grossed more than $100 million.
