Beatles legend Paul McCartney recently took to social media to advocate for the implementation of gun control laws in the U.S. The singer posted a picture of himself and wife, Nancy Shevell donning “We can end gun violence” T-shirts under their jackets during the March for Our Lives Rally which was held in New York City earlier this year. “In the light of the recent tragic shootings in the USA I hope the American people will vote to elect politicians who advocate sensible gun control laws,” he wrote in the caption of the picture. McCartney joins the ranks of several celebrities who have started campaigns on social media to encourage their fans to vote in the upcoming midterm elections in the U.S on November 6, including the likes of John Legend, Linda Perry, Taylor Swift and Kelly Clarkson, among others.
