Sting and Shaggy have released the music video for “Gotta Get Back My Baby” from their collaborative album 44/876, which was released back in April. The video stars the English rock singer and the Jamaican reggae artist as two Miami detectives, while Golden Globe-nominated actor Steven Bauer plays the role of their police captain. 44/876 was a musical success, ranking among the top five in charts in five countries. The duo is currently on tour in support of the album. Sting said in a behind-the-scenes interview that the inspiration for the video is the iconic TV series Miami Vice. “It’s a funny, lighthearted video with a bit of action in it, and stunts,” he stated. “It’s a wonderful collaboration — a surprising collaboration — and as we know, surprise is the most important thing,” Sting added.
