Taylor Swift Brings Out Maren Morris At Arlington Show

Taylor Swift gave her fans a surprise by bringing country singer Maren Morris to perform along with her during the Arlington, Texas date of her Reputation Tour. On the night of October 5, Swift brought out Morris for a duet of “The Middle,” the EDM-pop hit Morris released with Zedd and electronic duo Grey early this year. “I hope you don’t mind that I planned something special,” Swift told the crowd before she welcomed Morris onstage. “I get to bring out somebody who I am – I think I can safely categorize myself as a superfan of this artist. I listen to [Morris’ Hero album] over and over and over, and I can’t wait to see what she does next.” “Maren is from Arlington TX and judging from the deafening screeches of joy from the crowd, they are proud of her. So so grateful this happened, I was so happy I was really just bopping like an 8 year old alone in my room,” Swift later posted on Instagram after the show. “Rooted in country, 90s babies, genre-bending, unapologetic. I look up a whole lot to how you’ve made a career and I hope to someday achieve even a percent of what you’ve so gracefully cultivated @taylorswift13 . You know no boundaries, and that’s what music should be about,” Morris tweeted. Swift has surprised her fans by welcoming surprise guests on to her Reputation Tour stages. Previous guests included Bryan Adams, Niall Horan, Robbie Williams, Shawn Mendes, Troye Sivan, Selena Gomez, Hayley Kiyoko, Charli XCX and Camila Cabello. The Reputation Tour ends on November 21.
