Tina Turner Musical Headed For Broadway

A musical based on the turbulent life and career of Tina Turner will make its Broadway debut in New York City in the fall of 2019. Stage Entertainment, the producer, did not announce a specific date for the release, or name the theater where it will make its debut. Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, is directed by Phyllida Lloyd. “Tina” is co-written by playwright Katori Hall, Frank Ketelaar and Kees Prins. “Bringing this musical to life on stage and working with this team has meant so much to me, I feel that it is in many ways a culmination of my career,” the 78 year old music legend said in a statement. “London audiences have been and continue to be extraordinary.
