Keith Urban won the Entertainer of the Year award at this year’s CMA Awards. Urban faced tough competition from fellow artists Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Chris Stapleton and Kenny Chesney for the coveted title. “Thank you so much,” a tearful Urban said after accepting the award. “Baby girl I love you so much. I am shocked,” he said to his wife Nicole Kidman, who also shed a few tears in the audience. “Thank you for supporting me and loving me through all that I do. Thank you for supporting Daddy. You make it all worthwhile,” he continued referring to his two children. The country music superstar also thanked his fans, country radio, and his late father, who died of cancer in 2015. “I wish my dad was alive to see this but I think he’s watching over me tonight,” he said. “I am very grateful that I get to do what I do. He was also nominated for two other categories, Male Vocalist of the Year, which was grabbed by Stapleton, and Album of the Year for Graffiti U, which was awarded to Kacey Musgraves. “What a night! We were so shocked. Congratulations baby,” Kidman posted on Instagram. Copyright(c) 2018 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
