Previously unreleased music from George Michael will be featured in a romantic comedy to be directed by Paul Feig next year. Last Christmas, inspired by the Wham! holiday classic, will also include other unheard tracks by the late singer. Emilia Clarke and Henry Golding are playing the lead roles of the Universal Pictures film, due to be released in November 2019. Emma Thompson and comedian Bryony Kimmings are writing the screenplay. Kimmings told RadioTimes.com that the late singer also had contributed to the formation of the film’s concept before his death in 2016. “When I came on board, George was up for it. He’d already signed something to say yes, but he’d passed away, and Greg and Emma were still very keen to write it,” she was quoted as saying in an article published in July.
