Lorde has accused Kanye West and Kid Cudi of stealing the stage design she used on her music shows for their Kids See Ghosts performance at Camp Flog Gnaw on Sunday night. The duo performed a 45-minute set inside a rectangular glass box that hovered over the stage at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. On Monday, Lorde posted several photos of her Melodrama Tour and last year’s Coachella on her Instagram page, which shows a floating glass box stage, comparing them with those used by Kid Cudi and West. “I’m proud of the work I do and it’s flattering when other artists feel inspired by it, to the extent that they choose to try it on themselves. But don’t steal – not from women or from anyone else – not in 2018 or ever,” the 22 year old pop star wrote. Lorde also took the issue to her Twitter account. “Lorde calls out Kanye West for stealing her box stage idea: A few hours ago, controversy arose when Kanye West and Kid Cudi performed on a floating stage, a replica of Lorde’s – a female artist’s – North American Tour staple,” she tweeted with photos posted.
