The launch of Britney Spears’ new album has been postponed due to her father Jamie Spears’ life-threatening health crisis. The 37 year-old singer had recently announced she will be taking an ‘indefinite work hiatus,’ including from her “Britney: Domination” Las Vegas residency after her father suffered a ruptured colon in November and spent much of December hospitalized. Jamie Spears, 66, underwent surgery. Spears’ manager Larry Rudolph confirmed that the work on the pop star’s upcoming Justin Tranter-produced album will be put on hold. “Everything is on hold right now until Jamie is better. But once he is, she will resume working on the album with Justin [Tranter]. Right now, she’s taking some time off to deal with these family issues,” Rudolph said in a statement.
