A new musical inspired by Alanis Morissette’s Jagged Little Pill, which features the “Ironic” singer’s music as well as original songs, will debut this fall on Broadway. “Our new musical comes to #Broadway this fall. We want you to know everything first-sign up by Feb. 11 to get priority access to tickets and to stream an exclusive first listen of ‘All I Really Want,’ featuring our World Premiere cast,” Morissette tweeted. The musical is inspired by Morissette’s Grammy-winning 1995 album of the same name and features an original story by Academy Award-winning writer Diablo Cody. Tony winner Diane Paulus will direct the musical. The theater, cast, and date of the show’s opening have not yet been announced. “This process, and what this process has yielded artistically and collaboratively, has been nothing short of a revelation, a balm and an arrival for me,” Morissette said in a statement. “It is a culmination of so much of what my life’s work has been oriented toward,” she added. “To work with Diablo Cody, whose heart is as open as her mind is bright and brave, has taken this record – which has meant so much to me – to a whole other level of depth, meaning and natural activism.” Copyright(c) 2019 RTTNews.com.
