NBC lined up a huge number of A-listers to perform at its “Elvis All-Star Tribute,” including Keith Urban. “Elvis All-Star Tribute” will air on Sunday, February 17 on NBC. Post Malone, Ed Sheeran, Alessia Cara, Shawn Mendes, Adam Lambert and Kelsea Ballerini will also take part in the tribute. The network has also line up John Fogerty, Dierks Bentley, Jennifer Lopez, Josh Groban, Darius Rucker, the Pistol Annies, Carrie Underwood, Little Big Town and Mac Davis. “Elvis All-Star Tribute” is a special program that celebrates the 50th anniversary of Elvis Presley’s 1968 “Comeback Special.” The program will be hosted by Blake Shelton. The show was recorded in front of an invited audience last October. The program will also showcase rare Elvis footage and interviews from those involved in the special, including Priscilla Presley and director Steve Binder. Presley’s “Singer Presents.. Elvis” which was later know as “Comeback Special” was aired on December 3, 1968. The live television program was his first live television performance since 1961 and a monumental TV event. Dressed in a black leather jumpsuit and playing with a full band in front of an intimate audience, the telecast was hugely popular. “The 50th Anniversary of the Elvis Comeback Special” was produced by Ken Ehrlich.
