The nominees for the 2019 Academy Awards were announced Tuesday, with Lady Gaga receiving nominations in two of the most competitive categories. The singer-actress has been nominated for her leading role in A Star Is Born in the best actress category, and for “Shallow,” her duet with Bradley Cooper and collaboration with Mark Ronson, in the best song category. Only Gaga and Mary J. Blige (in 2018) have so far been nominated in both for best song and in an acting category in the same year in Oscar history. This is the second year of Oscar nomination for Gaga. The first was in 2016, when “Til It Happens To You” from The Hunting Ground was nominated for for Best Original Song. A Star Is Born is also nominated for Best Picture, cinematography, sound mixing, sound editing, and best adapted screenplay. Copyright(c) 2019 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
