Mariah Carey’s seasonal smash hit “All I Want For Christmas Is You” has established a new peak of No. 3 on Billboard Hot 100 chart. The popular Christmas tune also became the first top-five holiday hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in 60 years as it climbed three positions on the chart dated January 5. It caps an eventful Christmas season for “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” which is a song from Carey’s holiday album Merry Christmas. The song broke the record for the most Spotify streams in a day when it was played more than 10.8 million times on Christmas Eve. Merry Christmas also took the top spot on Billboard’s Top R&B Albums chart in December. Originally released by Columbia Records, the song has remained a festive favorite ever since.
