Phoenix has apologized for a collaboration with R. Kelly in 2013. Phoenix worked on a remix of their song “Trying To Be Cool” with R. Kelly, who was accused by multiple women of abuse, predatory behavior and pedophilia in the documentary series Surviving R. Kelly. The French music band offered an apology in a statement on Twitter on Thursday. “We are deeply horrified by the stories of abuse surrounding R. Kelly,” the band tweeted. “We regret that we were not both more informed and more discerning when we worked with him previously.” Phoenix said they support all victims of sexual abuse and expressed hope “there will be a path to justice.” Separately, Lady Gaga apologized for a R. Kelly collaboration and said she will remove the single “Do What U Want (With My Body)” she did with him in 2013 from streaming platforms. Copyright(c) 2019 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
