Princess Nokia Accuses Ariana Grande Of Copying Sound In ‘7 Rings’

Princess Nokia is accusing Ariana Grande of copying from her 1992 mixtape Mine in the just released song “7 Rings.” Nokia posted a video on Twitter of herself listening to “7 Rings” and switching to “Mine” with a comment, “Hmm, do that sound familiar to you? Because that sounds really familiar to me. Oh my God. Ain’t that the little song I made about brown women and their hair? Sounds about white.” The 26-year-old rapper tagged Grande in her tweet. Interested parties can compare between the two lyrics. Mine track: “Rock my many styles then go natural for the summer/ Hair blowing in the hummer/ Flip the weave, I am a stunner/ It’s mine, I bought it/It’s mine, I bought it.” 7 rings track: “My wrist, stop watchin’, my neck is flossin’/Make big deposits, my gloss poppin’/You like my hair? Gee, thanks, just bought it/I see it, I like it, I want it, I got it.” Nokia’s posts have since been deleted. Copyright(c) 2019 All Rights ReservedLess «
