Sarah McLachlan has been announced as the host for the 2019 Juno Awards to be held in London, Ontario, later this spring. “I’m honoured to have been asked to host the 48th Annual JUNO Awards,” said McLachlan. “I know intimately what it feels like to be on the JUNO stage and I feel truly blessed to play a new role for an organization that has supported me throughout my career.” The Canadian singer won 12 Junos, including an international achievement award and a humanitarian award. “Sarah is perfect to host our show,” said Allan Reid, President & CEO, CARAS/The JUNO Awards & MusiCounts. “She’s an inspiring artist with exceptional achievements and successes, who embodies our core beliefs of nurturing talent and celebrating the voices of our great nation.” Meanwhile, Shawn Mendes has received the most Juno nominations with a total of six, including Artist of the Year. The Weeknd has received five nods, while newcomer bulow received four nominations, including Breakthrough Artist of the Year. Loud Luxury also garnered four nominations. The event will be held at Budweiser Gardens in London, Ontario, on Sunday, March 17, 2019.
