Sam Smith and Normani released an acoustic version of “Dancing With a Stranger” on Friday, February 15. The new acoustic version follows a dreamy, slowed-down vibe instead of the original’s sultry R&B. Released in January by Capitol Records, “Dancing With A Stranger” has already garnered over 100 million cumulative streams worldwide and is currently No. 8 on the global Spotify chart. “Dancing With A Stranger” is also the first new music from Smith in 2019 following his summer 2018 global hit “Promises” with Calvin Harris. Smith is set to perform with Harris on February 20 at the BRIT Awards, for which he is nominated in the British Male Solo Artist category this year. Meanwhile, Normani recently dropped the video for her latest single “Waves” featuring 6lack. The former Fifth Harmony member’s debut solo album is expected later this year.
