Keith Urban walked away with the top honor at the 54th Academy of Country Music Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, winning the Entertainer of the Year award for the first time. The awards ceremony, hosted by 16-time ACM Award winner Reba McEntire, was aired live on CBS. Urban won over Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan and Chris Stapleton, who were the others nominated for ACM Entertainer of the Year. “My team, thank you every one of you. To the fans out there you are amazing,” Urban said after accepting the award. “You have no idea how much it means to me.” Urban thanked his wife Nicole Kidman, who was in the audience, and his daughters. He also thanked Country radio, saying, “I love you so much. Thank you so much.” Having previously won the awards for New Male Vocalist of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year, Urban will now receive the ACM Triple Crown Award. Overall, Urban has nine ACM awards, with the first one coming in 2001, when he was crowned the New Male Vocalist of the Year. Copyright(c) 2019 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
