The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival has announced that Widespread Panic will replace Fleetwood Mac at the Jazz Fest on May 2. The move follows an announcement from Fleetwood Mac about their inability to perform due to vocalist Stevie Nicks’ illness. The organizers had brought in Fleetwood Mac as a replacement for The Rolling Stones, who pulled out of the event due to Mick Jagger’s unavailability as he has undergone heart valve replacement surgery. Jazz Fest announced, “Due to the illness of Stevie Nicks, Fleetwood Mac has postponed four upcoming North American tour dates and their performance at Jazz Fest on May 2.” “Jazz Fest wishes Stevie Nicks a speedy recovery and hopes to see her and the band at the Festival next year,” the organizers added. Widespread Panic’s first appearance at the Jazz Fest was in 1999. The band has made several appearances at the festival since then. Copyright(c) 2019 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
