A Broadway musical about the life of music legend Tina Turner will premiere at the Lunt-Fontanne Theater on November 7. Adrienne Warren will reprise her role as the music icon in the New York version of Tina — The Tina Turner Musical. Warren earned an Olivier Award nomination for her performance in the London production of the musical. Additional casting for the Broadway production will be announced soon. The producers announced that previews will begin on October 12. The story of the Phyllida Lloyd-directed musical was written by Katori Hall, Frank Ketelaar and Kees Prins. Lloyd also directed the acclaimed Margaret Thatcher biopic The Iron Lady and the blockbuster musical film Mamma Mia!
