Time magazine has announced that Taylor Swift and Khalid are set to be the main performers at the 2019 Time 100 Gala in New York City on April 23. Both artists have also been featured on Time’s list of the Most Influential People of 2019. “It all comes from her – her belief in magic and love, and her ability to be as honest and raw as possible,” fellow pop sensation Shawn Mendes wrote about Swift. He added, “She’s the master of putting the perfect amount of thought into not overthinking, and that’s why her music connects so well.” Khalid, whose latest album Free Spirit quickly rose to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, was also nominated in 5 categories at the 2019 Grammy Awards. “He’s a beautiful writer with the ability to take human concepts and make you understand and feel them,” wrote Alicia Keys. “He has a full, powerful voice that is somehow unassuming and smooth at the same time.
