Paul McCartney has announced that an expanded version of his chart-topping 2018 album, Egypt Station, will be released on May 17. The double LP, titled Egypt Station – Explorer’s Edition, will be released on Capitol Records. The expanded edition will arrive a week before the start of the U.S. leg of the Beatle’s Freshen Up Tour. Egypt Station – Explorer’s Edition is comprised of the original record plus a second album, Egypt Station II. The bonus disc includes all songs released during the Egypt Station voyage, from studio tracks including the surprise single “Get Enough” to live performances captured at stops such as Abbey Road Studios, The Cavern and Grand Central Station.
