Paula Abdul and Madonna’s performances at last week’s Billboard Music Awards resulted in significant streaming gains, Nielsen Music data shows. Madonna and Maluma’s performance of “Medellin” boosted the track’s streams by 261 percent – from 596,000 to 2.2 million. Abdul rocked the audience with a six-song medley of her hits as the final event of the show. The songs she performed generated a 102 percent gain in streams – from 192,000 to 388,000. Dan + Shay, Tori Kelly, Kelly Clarkson, Lauren Daigle, Jonas Brothers, Khalid, Panic! At The Disco and Mariah Carey also performed at the awards ceremony, held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
