1. Laziz Kitchen

Laziz Kitchen offers modern Lebanese cuisine packed with intense flavors and good portions. The local eatery has been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives and rightfully so.

If you’re looking for a new place to eat that isn’t too heavy and still satisfying, Laziz is the place to go! Not to mention their hummus is homemade and often available at the Saturday Market in Salt Lake City.

The shakshouka, a tomato-based dish with poached eggs, is absolutely incredible! Served with a warm side of pita bread for dipping.

Laziz is open for lunch, dinner, and brunch.

2. Feldman’s Deli

There are few things as great as a satisfying sandwich. Feldman’s is a New York-style deli ready to serve you authentic Jewish and European food. Rumor has it that you won’t find a better Pastrami sandwich around.

One of the best types of food that starts as a blank canvas and is easy to make your own work of art is the sandwich. 🥪At Feldman’s Deli they have made a masterpiece big enough to share with someone. Big, thick slices of meat just might be the secret to Feldman’s perfectly created sammie. Look at those french fries!

3. Pretty Bird Chicken

Probably the best fried chicken you’ll find in Utah. Pretty Bird specializes in Nashville-style hot chicken with the right amount of spice. The owner of Pretty Bird, Viet Pham, is a previous winner of Iron Chef and beat Bobby Flay with his hot chicken recipe.

Is your mouth watering?! Look at the flakey golden crust. The crinkle-cut fries. Everything you’d ever want in a piece of hot chicken.

Open for lunch and dinner. Closed between 3:30-5:00 PM!

4. Pig and a Jelly Jar

One of the best places to get brunch! Pig and a Jelly Jar have a meat hefty menu, however, is more than willing to accommodate vegetarian needs. Not to mention they have all you can eat Buffalo wings on Friday and Saturday nights!

 

The sliders you never knew you needed in your life. Check out Pig and a Jelly Jar for some tasty Southern-inspired plates.

5. Asa Ramen

If you’re looking for a quick, inexpensive, and filling meal, Asa Ramen has you covered! If noodles aren’t your thing, don’t worry! Asa has an extensive menu capturing traditional Asian food. However, the ramen is quite hard to pass up.

If you’re not drooling looking at this meal… Perfectly salted edamame, perfectly soft boiled egg. Everything… Perfect.

Five5eeds is a laid back cafe-style restaurant serving fresh and healthy meals. You can order everything from an acai bowl to a burger. Want to know the best part? Five5eeds uses local produce to craft their Australian influenced dishes!

Honestly, everything in the picture above is worth devouring. Five5eeds is a place where you can have your cake and eat it, too!
