Tom Hanks can’t believe it. Despite starring in more than sixty movies, three intelligent people did not immediately recognize him.

In a recent episode of Jeopardy!, one category was “Bio Pics.” Contestants are shown an actor or actress in role, and then must identify the person’s real name.

Contestants saw Tom Hanks in his newest role, playing Mr. Rogers in “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood.”

What’s his name?

They didn’t know. They didn’t even guess.

On an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, viewers got to see the first reaction of Tom Hanks not being recognized.

Before the Jeopardy! clip, Kimmel and Hanks chat about beards and other stuff.

Skip to 4:26 for the Jeopardy! moment.

Watch Tom Hanks feel a humbled outrage.

“You are kidding me!” Hanks says.

“What was the name of the category? Washed up career choices for 800? Bad casting for 1000, Alex?”

It may bearable to not be known by three people when one is loved by millions.

One more thing, you should also watch the interview to find out a secret about Mr. Rogers’ shoes that even Hanks didn’t know until after he filmed the movie.
