Steve Perry is letting us peek into his childhood! The former Journey singer released a cover of “Silver Bells,” paired with a video showcasing his childhood holiday.

Perry said via Twitter he’s “sharing some of my personal holiday spirit,” and what the holiday season was like “through the eyes of young 0me from Hanford, CA.”

The video portrays young Perry in a Christmas Parade with his favorite childhood gifts–a red bike and the sound of silver bells. The cover is a little unconventional for Perry. He mixes his favorite Christmas song ‘Silver Bells’ and ‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,’ with an R&B twist.

“I hope it brings a smile to you and yours in this holiday season!” said Perry.
