Sam Elliot, Old Town Road, and Doritos.  The perfect combo!

By Jon Smith:

Sam Elliott brings his western speech, cowboy style, Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” and Doritos together Super Bowl LIV this year.  The ad is already being shown but will be seen by most during this weekend’s football game.

Ol’ Sam looks as old as he did in Roadhouse more than 30 years ago.  Which is a little confusing?  I’m pretty sure he was born with that mustache.  In the commercial, Elliot walks into an old-timey cowboy bar and drawls out some words that some might find familiar.

“I got the horses in the back. Horse tack is attached. Hat is matte black. I got the boots that’s black to match,” Elliott slowly recites. “Ridin’ on a horse. Ha! You can whip your Porsche. I been in the valley. You ain’t been up off that porch, now. Can nobody tell me nothing. You can’t tell me nothing.”

Dude!  That’s OLD TOWN ROAD!

Something tells me there’s more to this story.
