Selena Gomez is back in a big way, along with her recent album ‘Rare’ is her new makeup line. Gomez teased on her Instagram this afternoon that she had a big announcement coming. It didn’t take long before fans put the pieces together.

The new makeup line, “Rare Beauty”, will be released in Sephora this summer. Gomez announced through an Instagram Live post where she detailed why she is launching the brand. She also wore some of the new products but wouldn’t reveal too much.
Gomez’s Revival tour page was recently renamed to Rare Beauty while her team worked fast to remove photos from the tour ahead of the announcement. The page shared its first three posts including a quote from the founder herself. The new makeup line also has a live website where products will be teased ahead of their debut.
Given Selena’s massive following, it wasn’t difficult to rack up over one million followers on Instagram. Selena joins the makeup queens like Rhianna and most recently Lady Gaga.

However, Gomez has made it very clear this brand goes far beyond just makeup. Gomez goes on to talk about her latest endeavor into the makeup world as a time for reflection. She asks fans to glow from within rather than appeal to others through their exterior. The brand isn’t about how others see you it is how you see yourself.
