Almost a month after the tragic death of NBA basketball legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna, a date for their memorial service has finally been set. And it’s a date that honors both of their lives.

The service will be held on Feb. 24. The date — 2/24 — is in honor of Gianna’s basketball jersey number #2 and Kobe’s iconic jersey number #24.

Kobe’s wife Vanessa posted the announcement on her Instagram account Friday, sharing the details of the service.

The service will be held at the Staples Center, where hundreds of fans have memorialized Kobe since he died in a helicopter crash. Fans have left flowers, jerseys and other mementos of the player’s legacy.

The service will be just hours before a home game for the Los Angeles Clippers.

No other details on the service have been released yet.
