Everyone’s “favorite guy” (or least favorite, depending on who you talk to) could be getting his own Disney+ series. Yeah, we’re talking about Gaston from “Beauty and the Beast.”

Disney+ is apparently cooking up a prequel to the hit movie, starring Luke Evans and Josh Gad — who starred in the roles for the 2017 live-action film. This is all according to CNN.

The news comes from The Hollywood Reporter, but Disney+ hasn’t commented on the rumor. So that leaves it as just that: a rumor.

While Evans and Gad would return to the screen, Emma Watson (Belle) will not be joining them for the prequel. But, there is a possibility for a guest starring for Watson.

But, if it’s true: Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz — the producers best known for the hit show “Once Upon a Time” on ABC and “Amazing Stories” on Apple TV+ — are creating the series. But it would still be in its beginning stages.

The “Beauty and the Beast” series would apparently consist of six episodes and include musical numbers. Which should be a given, considering it’s Disney.
