Gigi Hadid, Zayn Malik expecting first child

Supermodel Gigi Hadid and former One Direction bandmate Zayn Malik confirmed they are expecting their first child together.

Hadid confirmed her pregnancy during a preview clip for Jimmy Fallon’s “The Tonight Show” at-home edition episode airing Thursday.

“We are very excited and happy and grateful for everyone’s well wishes, and support,” she told Fallon during the 3 1/2 minute clip.

She said her first craving that she’s experienced has been bagels.

Hadid said the baby is due in Spetember, with her mother saying she is thrilled to become a grandmother. She said she was surprised the “little secret” was leaked to the press.

“I’m excited to become oma in September, especially after I lost my mom so recently,” she told the Dutch outlet RTL Boulevard. “But this is the beauty of life: One soul leaves us and a new one comes in. We feel very blessed.”

Hadid, 25, and Malik, 27, have been dating off-and-on for several years — with Hadid becoming one of the most in-demand models, and Malik as the first member to leave One Direction to pursue a career as a solo artist.
