Katy Perry reported she is experiencing waves of depression during the COVID-19 pandemic. Perry recently shared her honest feelings about her depression through twitter.

Her recent opening up came in the form of a tweet on Tuesday.

“Sometimes I don’t know what’s worse, trying to avoid the virus or the waves of depression that come with this new norm,” Perry wrote.

Though, Perry is not alone in feeling waves of depression while the pandemic is still at a high. The Kaiser Family Foundation reported a significant increase in Nationwide depression since COVID-19.

“As the pandemic wears on, it is likely the mental health burden will increase as measures taken to slow the spread of the virus, such as social distancing, business, and school closures, and shelter-in-place orders, lead to greater isolation and potential financial distress,” Kaiser Family Foundation reported.

These measures have been put in place to protect others and ourselves. Katy Perry will continue to battle her depression as the pandemic continues.

The American Idol judge is expecting her first child, a daughter, with Orlando Bloom.
