Join us for the annual Utah Valley “Strides for Stroke” 5k fun run. Registered participants will receive a t-shirt and a “goodie” bag. The event will be hosting stroke survivors from around Utah, and is open to the public. Prizes will be awarded to the top runners in the mens, womens, and childrens categories. We encourage all stroke survivors to come and participate in the 5K or the 1K by running, walking, or using a wheelchair. There is also a 1K Stroke Victory Walk in the Park for stroke survivors who would like to participate but are unable to or not interested in the 5K run. There is no cost associated, but participants should register.

As the race has improved each year, the number of runners has increased as well. From a few hundred to more than 6,000 the Freedom Run is an event you don’t want to miss.

Following the race, subject to sponsors’ donations, there will be a silent auction with the same charitable purpose.

The Skyline Mountain Marathon has been called the most difficult, yet most beautiful marathon in Utah. To be clear though, this is not your standard marathon. With elevation gain of around 5K ft, your legs are sure to be screaming. We do not recommend this race as your first marathon. It is over 90% on rough single track trail. For runners looking for something not quite as punishing, there is a Half Marathon option. And for those of you looking to really push yourself, there is now a 50K option with almost 7K ft in climbing. Both the marathon and 50K are great training runs for the fall 100 milers.
