Voices of Reason

Prejudice or racism

On this episode of the Voices off Reason podcast, Amy Donaldson and Jasen Lee talk about the difference between prejudice and racism — and how language and words matter so much in today’s society. Joining us is Dr. Paul White, associate professor of Social Psychology at the University of Utah who offer perspective on how people use language, sometimes mistakenly, in describing intergroup relations.

From police interactions, workplace relations or interpersonal relationships, society has a ongoing battle with how it uses certain words in the English language. Dr. White explains how we should reconsider we chose our words and change our way of thinking.
