Kid Rock has donated over $100k of money raised through tour merchandise to a college voting registration program for the Republican party. The move comes only after Rock was publicly called out for teasing a potential run for office as a Republican as a means by which to sell merch with a political bent. The Detroit rap-rocker was brazen about his willingness to use politics as a promotional tour for his own merch on his website earlier this year, writing: “I have no problem selling Kid Rock shirts and yes, I absolutely will use this media circus to sell/promote whatever I damn well please (many other politicians are doing the same thing, they just feed you a bunch of bulls— about it),” he wrote. He later promised to use funds raised from the sale of said merch to set up a voter registration organization of his own. After failing to follow through, he has now donated the money to the group College Republicans. Copyright(c) 2018 RTTNews.com. All Rights ReservedLess «
