Prince’s family have filed a wrongful death lawsuit against an Illinois hospital that treated the singer a week before his death as well as pharmacy chain Walgreens. The singer’s family lawyer said the legal procedure was initiated against Trinity Medical Center in Moline, Illinois, to shed light on “what happened to Prince” and “further light on the opiate epidemic will hopefully help the fight to save lives.” The suit, filed in Cook County, claims that doctor Nicole Mancha failed to appropriately diagnose and treat the opiod overdose. It has also been alleged that Walgreens and its pharmacists dispensed prescription medications not valid for a legitimate medical purpose. Trinity Medical Center briefly treated Prince in April 2016 after his private plane made an emergency landing in Moline, Illinois, following a show in Atlanta. Copyright(c) 2018 RTTNews.com.
