Close on the heels of the 40th anniversary of their best-selling album, Double Vision, Foreigner have announced four concerts billed as “special celebrations,” featuring all of the surviving members of the band. The band’s original members united for a concert at The Sturgis Buffalo Chip, South Dakota on August 4. Mick Jones reportedly told the Daily Herald, “We just go out there and have a lot of fun. The old members love it. Lou Gramm and our present singer, Kelly Hansen, get along like a house on fire… In the end, both Lou and Kelly really respect each other’s vocal ability. You know, they push each other on. It’s great to see it; I’m so happy. Because what Lou and I did together, it’s a separate entity in a way, but to be able to look back and to see actually how much we did achieve together, I think it’s been really great for that recognition.” Rapid City Journal quotes Gramm as saying, “Time has healed a lot, so onwards and upwards,” about his renewed friendship with former bandmates. Gram left Foreigner after he and Jones performed “I Want To Know What Love Is” and “Juke Box Hero,” together for the first time in a decade, at the Songwriters Hall Of Fame in New York City in 2013.
