Pink is set to perform at a tribute to Dolly Parton on February 8. He is among a group of artists named to perform at the 2019 MusiCares Person of the Year tribute concert. The country music legend will be honored with the 2019 MusiCares Person of the Year award at a ceremony to be held in Los Angeles on Grammy Awards weekend. This is the first time ever a country music artist has been selected for the prestigious award. “Dolly Parton is being honored as the 2019 MusiCares Person of the Year in recognition of her significant creative accomplishments and longtime support of many charitable causes,” MusiCares said in a statement. Proceeds from the event will go to MusiCares, a charity founded by the Recording Academy that ensures music people have a place to turn in times of financial, medical, and personal need.
