It’s no secret that the real star of the Stranger Things series is Joe Keery’s hair.

At least some people see it that way.

Playing bad boy turned lovable softie, Steve Harrington, Keery stood out from a notable cast with his luscious, upward-combed locks.

Whether or not it was true to the style of the 80s, his hair was iconic.

Behold a reminder of his glorious hair:

Then it all changed.

Joe Keery got a haircut.

Public outrage was swift. Reaction quickly turned from shock to mourning.

Perhaps never before has a haircut caused such emotional torment.

Not to worry, though. If Netflix renews “Stranger Things” for a fourth season, the stylists can restore order, right?
