Sheena McFarland opens up about being a student in a blatantly racist public school district
On this episode of the Loudmouth Project's Voices of Reason, Amy and Jasen are joined by Sheena McFarland, who was a student in the Davis County School District, which recently entered into an agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice to remedy severe racism and harassment of Black and Asian American students. She endured a pattern of systemic discrimination that impacted her throughout her public school career. Additionally, outside of school, she survived a violent attack that left her and a fellow student beaten into unconsciousness.
