Eurythmics rocker Dave Stewart has reportedly been recording with Chvrches. News of the possible new collaboration came earlier this week via Stewart’s Twitter feed. He shared a photo with the trio and captioned: “love working with CHVRCHES in the studio.” In addition to working with Stewart, Chvrches’ Lauren Mayberry also made recent headlines for speaking up for LGBTQ rights: “Just because I get to coast around in a nice cushy little bubble, that’s not how it is for everybody,” Mayberry said in a recent interview. “And I guess now being in the band that we’re in, having a huge gay following, and I think you know, just trying to check my privilege as a white, cis, straight woman is pretty important and just remembering that I have it pretty f**king good.” Thus far neither have confirmed the nature of their studio work together.
